JANE REVÄE

Jane Reväe McWhirter is a visual artist from Saskatoon, SK, on Treaty 6 Territory. In 2019 Jane received her BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, majoring in painting and ceramics.

Jane's work often involves themes of healing, vulnerability, connection, personal growth, issues of mental health, feminism, nature and the occult. Her work often features women in a wide array of emotions; in an attempt to explore the strength and power of being a woman that is honouring and embracing her authentic self.

Currently, Jane is working on maintaining an active practice as an artist, post-education. Jane has been exploring wheel throwing, creating small bowls, dishes and cups. She has been learning to embroider, with some help from the internet, but mostly just learning by doing.
Jane is employed by the Western Development Museum as an Exhibit Design Technician. She is the Curator for Nuit Blanche Saskatoon where she works with a board of directors to organize a contemporary arts festival each September.
